A new update to authoritative e-discovery guidelines

Sedona Canada, the working group of Canadian experts on electronic discovery, has issued a second edition of The Sedona Canada Principles Addressing Electronic Discovery. The first edition, released in 2008, were quite influential in shaping caselaw and civil procedure rules on the disclosure of electronic data in litigation. The second edition contains, inter alia, an updated Principle 2 on proportionality and incorporates information about social media. A pdf version can be downloaded here.
